For the next phase

When growth starts asking more of the organisation.

Growth is rarely held back by a lack of ambition. It slows when priorities compete, decisions take too long, responsibilities blur and the organisation is asked to carry more than it was built for. That is where I am most useful: alongside leadership teams that need to turn ambition into clearer choices, stronger ways of working and progress that people can genuinely get behind.

Available for Permanent leadership roles and Interim executive partnerships

The work begins after the strategy.

Most organisations do not need another set of slides describing where they want to go. They need to make the direction usable: in the choices leaders make, the way teams work together and the practical conditions for delivery.

Here's how I've proven to be of direct help:

01

Make direction usable

When every priority is urgent, focus becomes a negotiation that never ends. I help leadership teams make the trade-offs visible, decide what matters now and protect the choices that follow.

02

Build the conditions to deliver

Strategy needs an organisation that can carry it. That means clear roles, decision rights, governance, planning rhythms and the right capability in the right places.

03

Stay close enough to make it real

A plan only matters when it changes what happens next. I use practical tools, from decision support and dashboards to communication and executive forums, to make progress visible, keep ownership clear and turn intent into action.

I do not just help define what should happen next. I help build the organisation, decision rhythm and practical tools that make it happen.

Call me when:

01

The strategy is clear. The route is not.

01

The ambition is there, but leadership needs a clearer rhythm for decisions, priorities and follow-through.

02

Every priority claims to be the priority.

flip
02

Too much is competing for attention. The difficult work is not generating options; it is making choices and creating the confidence to stand behind them.

03

The organisation has outgrown its own map.

flip
03

The business has changed, but roles, ownership and decision paths still reflect an earlier version of the organisation.

04

Your plan depends on capacity you have not yet built.

flip
04

People, investment, external talent and capability decisions are being made separately, even though they need to add up to one credible plan.

05

The hand-offs are doing more work than the people.

flip
05

Work gets stuck between functions, markets or leadership layers. Teams need a clearer way to work together, not another coordination meeting.

06

The transformation has launched. It has not landed.

The programme may be funded, planned and well presented. But lasting change depends on what becomes different in the day-to-day work of leaders and teams.

How I work with people

Clarity is built with people, not imposed on them.

Complexity is rarely only structural. It is also human: different perspectives, legitimate interests, uncertainty and sometimes disagreement. Ignoring that does not make it disappear; it simply sends it underground.

I listen carefully, connect the perspectives that need to meet and make the real tension discussable. Then I help move the conversation towards a choice that people understand, can contribute to and know how to act on.

01

Bring the whole picture into view

I connect strategy, organisation, people and performance rather than treating them as separate problems.

02

Make disagreement productive

Not every perspective needs to win. But people need to see that their perspective was heard, and understand why a choice was made.

03

Build ownership, not dependency

The aim is not to become the centre of the solution. It is to give leaders and teams the clarity, rhythm and confidence to carry it forward themselves.

Clear is kind. It creates the conditions for people to do their best work.

Where I am most useful.

I am drawn to organisations with ambition, complexity and something important to deliver, whether commercial, mission-led or public in nature. My experience is most relevant where there is enough scale and interdependence for leadership choices to have a real organisational effect: international businesses, established corporates, growth-stage scale-ups and complex public or infrastructure environments. The common denominator is not a sector. It is a moment: the point at which yesterday's way of working no longer supports tomorrow's ambition.

How I can contribute:

As part of the leadership team

In a permanent Strategy & Operations, Chief of Staff, Business Operations, organisational effectiveness or transformation leadership role. Close enough to the leadership agenda to connect direction, people, investment and execution.

As an interim executive partner

As a temporary right hand during a critical transition, a new phase of growth or a complex programme that needs clarity, pace and someone prepared to own the follow-through.

Let's connect

Growth will not wait for the organisation to catch up.

If you can feel a gap opening between ambition and execution, it is worth addressing before it becomes expensive.
